Form, Value & Why Now Is The Time to Be Involved

Over the coming days I have two horses I’m extremely keen on. The handicapper has yet to catch up with the first. He’s been working to a far higher mark at home, and everything about his recent prep suggests connections have been waiting patiently for the right opportunity. The second is a maiden on the Flat who lost a chunk of last season due to a setback. His recent work has been outstanding.

Across 2025 we returned an average ROI of +19%, using widely available morning prices on the day of the race — no inflated evening-before odds and that’s also despite a quieter 8 week spell during November & December.

Please find two recent eye-catchers below from the Dan Skelton stable that need to be kept on side:

MADARA (Dan Skelton): The stewards held an enquiry into the running of this horse last time out who was tenderly ridden late on having reportedly tired. Skelton no doubt has a plan in mind for the seven-year-old who won a couple of decent pots in the 2023/24 season.

MYDADDYPADDY (Dan Skelton): It was an unsatisfactory running of the Formby last month for this horse, spoiled by the omission of obstacles in the straight. He was stalking the winner on the bridle around two furlongs out only for the writing to be on the wall when not finding as much as looked likely. Mydaddypaddy is set to go straight to Cheltenham and the increase in his odds in the aftermath was a clear overreaction, given the demands of a Supreme Novices’ Hurdle promise to suit him down to the ground.
