Our excellent run of form continued into this week courtesy of two excellent winners on Monday and Friday. Since the service was launched in 2014 we’re yet to have a losing year, but the consistency over the last few months has been nothing short of remarkable – there’s no better time to join!
Over the past week or so there have been a fair few horses that have gone down in the trackers, of which the below trio are well worth keeping on side:
IROKO (Oliver Greennall) – The Greennall stable gave us Jagwar at 5/1 last weekend and this horse also caught the eye on the same Cheltenham card that day.The Grand National is clearly the plan, but I think the Ultima at the festival must surely come under strong consideration following a ‘considerate’ ride. He travelled so well on his most recent outing and with his stamina for three miles already proven, he would be a warm order for that opening handicap if connections take that route. He’s a horse to keep firmly on side.
DANCE IN THE STORM (Andrew Balding) – A good winner for us on Monday having been punted off the boards, I had rather feared the worst a furloing or so out given how keenly she had raced early on, but this filly pulled out plenty in the end and will only go on improving as she learns to race and settle better.
SIOG GEAL (Fergal O’Brien) – It was essentially a graded race in all but name that this mare ran in last time at Windsor on the 19th of January, featuring four last-time-out winners. Siog Geal shaped with plenty of encouragement though in a contest that tested speed over stamina, sticking to her task well in the style of one who will benefit from a step up in trip. She rallied well up the run-in and was beaten only two and three-quarter lengths in 4th, finishing behind some promising mares. There should be more to come over hurdles and she’s one to keep firmly on side given the regard she’s held in.
